RF Systems offer the lowest meter reading cost available while improving reading accuracy by eliminating human data entry error, read data is captured and transferred to the billing system electronically.

Radio, or wireless, systems eliminate the need for meter access, which equates to improved efficiency and reduced employee exposure to hazardous reading environments.

The evolution AMR system with its mobile data collectors offers improved efficiency, delivering cost savings.  At the heart of every evolution AMR system is the evolution Radio Transceiver Module (evoRTM™) that is paired with one or more registers and associated meters.  The evoRTM logs and passes read data, trouble codes, leak detection and backflow data for encoder registers.

Read data can be collected on foot using the evoWalk™ Mobile Collector handheld unit that summons data from evoRTM Endpoints along the route.  For faster data collection, Elster AMCO Water offers the evoDrive Mobile Collector system comprised of a ruggedize notebook running the evoDrive application, and the mobile transceiver unit.  The evoDrive Mobile Collector system captures evoRTM/meter data as the service vehicle is driven at posted speeds throughout the route.

Read routes are assigned and the collected route data is transferred back to the billing system using the Elster AMCO Water evoRoute™ Manager.  The evoRoute Manager is the link between the utility’s billing system and the evolution AMR system. It is used to manage all mobile collectors and generates a wide range of reports to easily view data and system troubles.
