evolution Fixed Network AMI

With the fixed network evolution AMI system, utilities can offer higher levels of efficiency, conservation and customer service. The system flexibility allows evolution to adapt to indoor, outdoor, rural or urban scenarios with on-demand delivery of data to the utility by integrating 2-way wireless communications. Central to the Elster evolution fixed network system is its data collector that gathers read data from each evoRTM™ endpoint radio transceiver. The advantages of a mesh network are achieved by the use of evoHop™ range extender transceivers that automatically relay data between endpoints and collectors.

Collectors pass data along to the evolution Ground Server and evoNet™ Manager Server using cellular broadband wireless technology or an Ethernet-based Internet connection. Accessed using utility company workstations, the evoNet Manager software manages the network, translates data to the utility’s internal data systems and generates a wide range of reports as desired.

World-class meters and registers offer best-in-class accuracy and reliability while the evoRTM Endpoints are designed with operating rules that create an intelligent network, notifying operators of problems with network devices.
