This AMI system bridges the gap between AMR and AMI in radio frequency technology by making fixed network data collection available to utilities with diverse geography and customer demographics.

The Mega-Net MTU is based on two and a half decades of expertise and experience deploying Fixed Networks in the demanding security industry in over 80 countries around the globe. Mega-Net technology employs field proven levels of safety measures to protect the data, creating a highly reliable communication system to the AMI industry. Security measures include time slots, channel monitors, data package repetitions and many others. The MTU transmits meter data to a SMR5000 Radio Collector, a high powered long range device that receives signals from the MTU’s and forwards them to the head-end receiver. The head-end receiver, offers utilities of all sizes customizable configurations to meet their exact requirements.
